Drums, hockey and Robin Hood

I had a great conversation today with a guy called Graham who’s a drummer. He’s also still playing a bit of street hockey even at the ripe old age of 73 as it helps loosen up his back before he plays drums. He told me he’d been playing drums for over 55 years and was inspired by Keith Moon of the “Who”. We went on to talk about how the English groups had inspired him to play rock music but these days it was the “Foo Fighters” that got him all worked up and making noise.

He went on to tell me that he had family in Nottingham, England and how he loved the story of Robin Hood. He asked me if it was true to which I replied of course it was….honest! He laughed and said he loved the English sense of humour. Originally from Toronto Graham’s now a firm resident of the West living here in Calgary.
